As understood by all, irony is considered to be the condition or affairs that stand in sharp contrast to each other and to what is normally expected out of the situation. As a result, it can be said that irony plays a significant role in Literature as it brings out the consequences of the actions of the characters as well. In Joseph Conrad’s The Secret Agent the characters are well portrayed through the three kinds of ironies that are there within the plot of the novel.
